"When we honor darkness and integrate with light, we claim our gifts of source power. Pains are sacred messages for us to decipher the truth. Whether you feel stuck in your physical and emotional pain, or you are ready to stand in your authenticity, this book is for you."
Winnie Chan Wang is a trauma informed licensed acupuncturist and energy healer. Before shadow work, she was a victim and blamed all of her misfortunes on her ex-husband. When she ended the marriage, it forced her to come face to face with her shadows.
Ji W. Choi is a doctoral candidate in psychology. Before shadow work, she was disempowered and holding grudges like it was her full time job. When her body shut down after years of denial, she was forced to look at her source wounds.
In their book, “Honoring Darkness: Embrace Shadow work to nourish and grow your power”, they share their journey in compassionately transforming their grief, anger, denial, fear, unworthiness, conflict, survival mindset, entitlement, manipulation and shame.
Read the book so you can do shadow work and make the sweetest lemonade out of life’s sourest lemons!
Shadow work can take us to a very dark place, which is why you want to have a guide who can hold your hand, journey next to you with compassion, and channel the Ten Da. Dr and Master Sha teaches that the ten greatest source attributes are: greatest love, forgiveness, compassion, light, humility, harmony, flourishing, gratitude, service and enlightenment.
The goal of our spiritual journey is to stop leaking Shen Qi Jing and become ONE with the source. Shadow work helps us identify all the ways we are leaking!
I am so blessed and grateful to Dr and Master Sha every day for creating Tao calligraphy and his teachings of the Ten Da. "Honoring Darkness is raw, brutally honest, and a great vehicle for transformation. This book provides an opportunity for the reader to change through heartfelt and easy-to-follow steps on how to enact positive change in the reader’s lives. It brought clarity and peace to my mind and my heart. It really pulled on my heartstrings in all the right ways. I’ve been a professional reiki master healer for 8 years and the subject of this book is in my professional wheelhouse.
There is a lot of talk of shadow work in spiritual communities, but not a lot of clear instructions on how to go about implementing it. This is the real deal. It’s not some watered down culturally appropriated garbage, but it’s real and in alignment with the author’s lineage.
The authors also have technical, science backgrounds as well as well as being practitioners of Chinese medicine and spiritual healing. The technical writing and backgrounds really show in the structure of the book and the clarity of the writing. Every chapter is really a manual to help people address common problems. I especially love all the honest acceptance of “mistakes”, lessons, and “flaws” by the author. I felt seen. I felt like I was with her on her journey and as she healed her wounds, her words healed mine.
From an emotional level, I really enjoyed the absolute brave honesty the authors used in illustrating their lessons. It takes a lot of courage to share ones mistakes, flaws, and shortcomings. I believe that these were shared in order to normalize common struggles and mistakes, and ultimately benefit the reader. It certainly benefited me. I felt my energy, my mind, and my heart change for the better as I read this book.
I laughed and I cried and I felt such a mental and emotional release while reading this book. It really made things in my life make sense that have been plaguing me. I can’t wait to buy it for my friends and tell my clients about it. I haven’t read another book quite like this.
I highly recommend Honoring Darkness. You will have an opportunity to honor yourself by reading Honoring Darkness. Winnie is legitimately a Queen of Compassionate Transformation, and I can’t wait to experience more of her work!"
